Summer Seminar: Wetenschap en Grote Vragen

Maakt biologisch onderzoek naar moraal bij dieren het waarschijnlijk dat onze opvattingen over goed en kwaad niet meer dan een evolutionair voordelige adaptatie zijn?

Nemen wij onze beslissingen wel op basis van redenen of blijkt uit psychologisch onderzoek dat wij in principe onze handelingen achteraf rationaliseren?

Wijst het feit dat het universum nauwkeurig afgesteld lijkt te zijn op leven richting een God die ons universum ontworpen heeft?

Het Abraham Kuyper Center for Science and Religion organiseert deze zomer van 19 t/m 22 augustus een Summer Seminar over diverse grote vragen die wetenschappelijk onderzoek oproept.
Centrale thema’s zijn:

• Cognitief-wetenschappelijke benadering van religie (cognitive science of religion)
• Vrije wil en neurowetenchappelijk onderzoek
• Evolutie, moraliteit en christelijk geloof
• Kosmologie en het finetuning argument
