About the Theatre show

C.S. Lewis has been called an eccentric genius and a reluctant prophet. Beloved author of The Chronicles of Narnia, Lewis hosts a group of American writers at his home just outside Oxford where students regularly packed his lecture hall just to hear him speak. Enjoy an uplifting evening of compelling stories and laughter as accomplished Los Angeles voice actor, Phil Crowley brings “Jack” Lewis to life in An Evening with C.S. Lewis by David Payne. Follow Lewis as he recounts his childhood in Northern Ireland, his tenure at Oxford University, his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien and his marriage to an American woman. Get to know C.S. Lewis, the man as he invites you into his living room and into his life. An evening of pure joy!

The year is 1963 and C.S. Lewis, the famous British author, is in the twilight years of his life. Join him as he hosts a group of American writers at his home just outside of Oxford. They have come to hear him speak about the significant events and the people that shaped his life. Read more about the theatre show.
